The privacy and security of your personal information is very important to us. We do not share your personal information in ways not disclosed in our privacy statement or without your informed permission. We value your trust very highly, and we strive to protect the confidentiality and appropriate use of any personal information you provide to us.
What Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you choose to provide voluntarily when using our web sites. You can use our site without creating an account, but you will need to create an account if you want to take advantage of certain features, such as participating in discussion boards and forums or saving your carbon footprint data.
When you make an offset donation for the first time, we will create a public profile and Climate Action page for you, which will include only the projects you have supported, your display name if you have provided one, and a carbon offset statement if you have provided one. You can elect to disable both of these pages in your profile, in which case no information will be public aside from public comments you post in ClimatePath forums. To edit your privacy settings, log into the website and select the "Keep my profile private" box in the lower left corner.
Your customized carbon footprint and donation amounts are always private. We may also ask for personal information when you contact our customer service department. This will allow us to protect your confidentiality by verifying your identity.
Once you have made on offset donation, this information is stored securely in our databases.
